7 Day Etosha National Forest and Damaraland

The Daily Adventure
DAY 01
Windhoek to Khorixas
Depart Windhoek with your guide and travel north-west through changing highland and savannah scenery towards Khorixas. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, with time to relax and enjoy sunset over the surrounding hills before dinner.
DAY 02
Twyfelfontein, Rock Art & Petrified Forest
Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Twyfelfontein, home to some of Africa’s finest rock engravings. Visit the nearby Petrified Forest and striking rock formations, and, where possible, meet members of a local Himba community to learn about their traditions before returning to your lodge.
DAY 03
Into Etosha & Sunset at the Waterhole
Drive east towards Etosha National Park, arriving in time to settle into your lodge near a busy waterhole. As the sun sets, watch wildlife gather to drink and enjoy the magical atmosphere from a comfortable viewing area or your lodge’s terrace.
DAY 04
Etosha Game Drives
Spend the day on guided game drives in Etosha, searching for elephant, lion, giraffe and herds of antelope on the open plains and around the waterholes. Return to the lodge between drives to relax and enjoy the pool or a quiet siesta.
DAY 05
Etosha Game Drives & Final Sunset
Continue exploring different areas of the park on morning and afternoon game drives, maximising your chances of special sightings. Toast your final evening in Etosha with sundowners as the sky glows above the bush.
DAY 06
Drive Back to Windhoek
After breakfast, leave Etosha and begin the journey south to Windhoek, passing through small towns and wide-open landscapes. Arrive in the capital by late afternoon and check into your guesthouse or hotel for a relaxed evening.
DAY 07
Departure
Depending on your flight time, enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a short city orientation or last-minute shopping before your transfer to the airport and onward journey.
